Jan Faber Greg Smith   
Head of Private Equity

Greg is responsible for expansion capital investments in Australia and portfolio management in New Zealand. Since joining the Australian Private Equity team, Greg has made a significant contribution through his involvement with C&W Optus and its subsequent successful public listing. Other transactions he has been involved with include the management buyout (MBO) of APV's catering equipment business, Moffat. Greg has over 20 years of experience in the private equity industry with specific skills in assessing the viability of a business and building business relationships. Greg is actively involved in the peak industry body, The Australian Venture Capital Association (AVCAL) and was elected Chairman of that association for the year 2002.

Jan Faber Bill Cook    
Operations Director

Bill is responsible for the management of AMP Capital’s Australian private equity investments as well as the evaluation of new investment opportunities. Bill joined AMP Capital with over 35 years of finance and operations experience. Previously, he was part of Henderson’s Private Capital division, which followed two years working as Business Development Manager for Electronic Banking Solutions (EBS), where he was responsible for the company’s strategic development. Bill has extensive experience in financial management and the process improvement of commercial enterprises, including two years as General Manager of Qantas Flight Catering (QFCL) as well as senior management roles at Consolidated Press Holdings Limited Group (CPH) and the Ford Motor Company.

Paul Foster Paul Readdy    B.Comm, CPA
Director

Paul is responsible for portfolio management and investigating new expansion capital and buyout opportunities in the Australian private equity market. Previously Paul was the Risk Manager in the Operations and Risk division of Henderson Private Capital. Before this, he was the Regional Credit and Risk Manager for Sanwa Australia (Sydney) and an accountant with the CPA firm BJ Grace and Co. Paul commenced his career at Westpac Banking Corporation in various roles, including account management and credit. He brings to AMP Capital over nine years finance experience in the fields of commercial banking, accounting, structured finance and private equity. Paul holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland and is a qualified CPA.

Peter Ludemann Peter Ludemann   
Director

Peter Ludemann joined AMP Capital with over 15 years experience in private equity. As a lawyer he has been involved with fund managers including AMPCI, Bioscience Managers, Co-Investor and Nanyang Ventures, assisting them with fund establishment, investments, expansion transactions and exits. He was a founder and MD of Sequence Capital Group, a boutique PDF/advisory firm in the life science sector. In addition to this management experience, he has been instrumental in the emergence of Dibbs Abbott Stillman, since 2001, as one of Sydney’s ten largest law firms. Peter has managed over 50 private equity investments and M&A and exit deals involving over $400 million. He brings extensive experience having worked with private equity investors and entrepreneurs on all manner of deals over the past 20 years, coupled with direct management experience and expansive SME networks.

David Fallu David Fallu   
Director

David is responsible for investment origination and portfolio management and expansion within the Australian Private Equity team. Previously, he was an executive of Allco Equity Partners and its precursor vehicle within the Allco Finance Group. He commenced his career as an Investment Banker at Bankers Trust and Caliburn Partnership, where he advised local and international companies on mergers, acquisitions and divestiture processes. Most recently, since joining the Private Equity team, David helped manage the successful sale of Olex Cables. David has a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) and Bachelor of Accountancy from the Queensland University of Technology and is a former quality assessor for FINSEA’s Mergers & Acquisitions taskforce. He brings extensive investment banking experience, with particular expertise in preparing businesses for sale.
