Corporate Responsibility
AMP was founded on a promise, "to be a sure friend in uncertain times".
We'll keep that promise by continuing to build a business that's strong and successful today and well positioned for sustainable growth tomorrow. A successful business will come from delivering on our responsibilities, in a balanced way, to all our stakeholders - that is, customers, planners, shareholders, employees and the community in general. This behaviour makes good business sense and creates value for all our stakeholders.
AMP Capital Investors is committed to investing in sustainability and to actively encouraging good corporate governance in the companies in which we invest. A part of this commitment is our compliance with Federal Government’s Energy Efficiencies Opportunities Act (EEO) and the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting System Act (NGERS). We are also a signatory to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment, which aim to provide an internationally agreed framework to help institutional investors incorporate Environmental Social Governance (ESG) issues into investment decision making and ownership practices.
Across the AMP Capital Property portfolio, CR principles are incorporated into our every day business. We believe this will be increasingly critical to the attraction and retention of key tenants and that it will enhance the risk management of property, leading to better performance through lower operating costs, higher rentals and decreasing vacancy rates.
